Hints and Tips
Poster presentations should be well thought out and visually appealing, with a balance of text, graphics and neutral space.
Arrange the content so that the reader’s eye moves naturally through the poster, down columns and along rows.
Ensure the poster title matches the title of the submitted abstract and the conference programme.
Include the name of each author and their affiliation (institution or organisation).
Avoid using ALL-CAPITAL text, as it can be difficult to read.
Keep text brief and concise, particularly when describing methods.
Use clear headings, legible fonts and high-quality graphics to make the poster easy to follow.
The Speaker Support Desk will be located at the rear of Hickinbotham Hall.
All speakers must report to the Speaker Support Desk, where technicians will be available to assist with loading and checking presentations. We encourage speakers to upload their presentations in advance using the link below.
For speakers presenting in the morning, we recommend loading your presentation the afternoon prior. If this is not possible, please check in before sessions commence on the day of your presentation.
Speakers presenting in the afternoon must check in during the lunch break, or earlier if possible, on the day of their presentation. Early check-in helps ensure that presentations run smoothly and minimises technical delays.
